sweet + girlie

girlybtn

Today I created another digital collage sheet set, this one is sweet girlie circles, suitable for making buttons/badges, stickers, cake toppers or other cute crafts. I think they would be fun to use to make party favours for a little girls party.

And while on the topic of sweet and girlie, here are a few recent sweet etsy finds;

I have a great weakness for vintage things, and vintage things that are modernised , like these brooches and necklaces created from vintage Victorian Era images which are printed onto plastic. Created by Mamas Little Babies on etsy. So pretty!!

Our city lights

phones

I love this photo for a few reasons, 1. Its an awesome old vintage style photo. 2. I'm in love with the old dial telephones, 3. The very talented photographer behind this image has an etsy shop (i.e you can buy this photo as note cards!!) and 4. She also has a really nice blog, worth a read.
I love making awesome finds like this.

I went to reverse garbage in Sydney today. Its only about a 10min drive from my place, but I havn't been in a while. I discovered these awesome vintage glasses there. Some where just frames and others had glass in them. AND they were only $1 each!!! I was so excited and bought a few. (who wouldn't at that price)

Sadie Olive lust-haves

sadie

A few of my favourite vintage finds from Sadie Olive. I especially love the sewing machine, an amazing old singer. Sadie sells all sorts of beautiful old vintage pieces, which are items she has used as props for her photography (hence the stunning photography) and then sells them on to find a new home. I don't know how she parts with them all.

Twin Set

If the thought of eco-conscious, affordable, off beat vintage clothing and quirky retro fashion gets you scrambling for your wallet, you are going to fall in love with the newly opened {twin set}. Founded by the very lovely ladies Renee Baker and Angela D'Alton.

telephone

There may be a new highly coveted iphone coming out, but on my wish list was an old vintage Bakelite Telephone.
Which I was lucky enough to receive today for my 23rd birthday. :) The phone has a lovely old fashioned ring, and works perfectly. I love it.

VIntage wish list

My vintage wish list

1. A black vintage Bakelite phone
2. Owl painting, (from Olive Vintage)
3. A globe (image from Maries Vintage)
4. Anything union jack. I'd really like a cushion made from a vintage union jack, but can't seem to find the perfect one, well at least not one for less than $200!!
Also, I want that house, how gorgeous is it

Vintage eye chart

Well.. heres is another item I'd like to add to my vintage wish list. A vintage eye chart. I love the typography. I found this one in this etsy store. But it is sold :( But thet do sell some other interesting signs.

I also found one on the David met Nicole website. But they are highly expensive. By the way if you live in Sydney, this shop is in Surry Hills and looks wonderful. I can't wait to check it out. Last time we tried it was shut.

Oh well, something to look out for.

There's a new purse in store, and its one of a kind, because I used a piece of vintage lace I had on it.
Hope you like :)

And a little behind the scenes shot, or behind the 'seams' hehe

ADVENT CALENDAR BLOG- DAY 17

Today's advent number was designed by Ruby of Hey Chica. Ruby is even selling her advent number as an aceo, if you'd like to grab a copy to keep :)

I chose to feature another of Ruby's collages. This pretty bird aceo. I do love birds, I am going to do a bird theme this Christmas. We already have lots of bird nests and cages on our stick Christmas tree and I am making a bird nest cake and bird gingerbread cookies.

Hey Chica also sells some great vintage bits like old button packs and dress patterns. Which I do love.
Thanks again Ruby for your wonderful collaged number. Stay tuned for more amazing advent numbers. And if anyone is interested in taking part in the grand finale number 24. Please contact me.
