korean paper goods love

love

Sorry to be posting so many images in one post, but I just can't help but swoon over all these gorgeous paper goods, Koreans really know how to make sweet, beautiful stationary. And their prices arn't to bad either. *sigh* Really how awesome is deco tape! I know everyone loves it, whoever came up with that idea was genius.

All images from nothing elegant.

my love for paper

aper

On Tuesday night, I went shopping at Bondi Junction, as I was after some ear muffs. As I was walking along, a glimpsed a shop sign that said 'Typo' The typography lover in me got all stupidly excited and quickly drawn towards the store to find out what they had inside. I discovered it to be a nice new stationary shop, and seeing how much I love paper goods I went in and had a good look. Turns out this shop is an off shoot of 'Cotton On' (a chain clothing store), and I know I should be supporting more independent stores rather than big chains, but stationary just does something to me. Anyway, I picked up this cool ampersand mug for just $5 and they packaged it in this lovely brown cardboard box (top image).

While on the topic of paper, I decided to clean all the paper stuff I had stuffed under my bed today. Seems I horde an awful lot of bits of paper and paper goods, all in the name of art I say!
Don't worry, I didn't throw anything away, I just sorted it, so it wasn't such a mess.

Oh how I love thee paper.

papery bits

I love it when I find hidden gems on the internet, i.e sites in foreign languages, that google just wouldn't pick up on a normal English search. These beautiful little paper collages and illustrations are from Japanese artist and graphic designer Sakura. With a little digging, I tracked down her flickr page, myspace and blog.

Korean paper company 'O-check design graphics'

Yesterday I went to a paper shop in Bondi Junction and picked up this gorgeous little note book. Which is also inspiring for my new collection, which is still in the works.

I looked the company that designed the book up on the net, and found they are a Korean paper company, called O- Check Graphic Design, and they make some lovely paper goods. They seem to be up with the trends. It seems kind of funny to see lots of Paris inspired paper goods on a Korean website.
