My brother got his HSC (end of high school exmas, very big and important) results today, he did heaps well, so we had champaign for breakfast to celebrate.
My mum kept pointing out all these things she wants me to cook for xmas so i think im going to be rather busy this week.

I dyed my hair black last night!! just for a change. And I worked today, I am so tired right now, it was so flat out, busy. But I bought a dress for xmas so Im happy :)

Advent calendar blog- DAY 7

I'm starting a new job at a clothing store called Cotton On in about a week. We had the induction today, i had to travel 2 hours just to fill in some forms, how frustrating! But they gave us 25% off discount cards!! YAY!

Todays item:
This is a gorgeous screen print which reads, "This bell will ring when from nothing something comes, this bell will ring when we dream a dream of good."
I think this would be lovely for wedding invitations. But it is sold as a large print for $500!! hmm that'd be rather expensive wedding invites.
It is by Robert Ryan, he also sells some other more affordable prints too.
And because I can't confine myself to showing you just one of his pieces I just had to share these gorgeously, stunning Christmas shop window displays he designed.

Todays item-

This artist is a bit like me, i love collecting random little objects and trinkets. I'm always trying to display my little treasures but run out of space.
Here is some background:
'One day...not very long ago, I began pulling a bunch of trinkets together and arranged them on our too tiny coffee table, and then left them there for days because I didn't want to put them away, but a little problem I have is running out of space and then piling and piling, to the point where I can't find anything, and then all I do is spend time looking for this or that, so I decided to photograph them, so that I wouldn't forget what they looked like together.

The process has become a way for me to remember what I have and to reminisce about what I was doing...where I was...and how I felt at the time I made their discovery.'

Advent calendar blog- day 4

I did some shopping today, and sent off some parcels, as i sold another two things today. I've finally got the majority of my xmas shopping complete. I also bought black hair dye, as I am in the mood to dye my hair for xmas.

Today's item:
Small cupcake made from cotton fabric. approximately 10cm tall to the top of the pom pom. The pom pom is a hand made felt ball and the base is also felt. Everything else including the lace and stuffing is cotton. They are a nice birthday present, a handy pin cushion or something fun to make you smile! $14 from Ohtipo

Advent calendar blog- DAY 1

I decided for a bit of fun I would do an advent calendar blog, or at least try to, it may get tricky when things get busier close to xmas.
Well it is the 1st Dec, and also the first day of summer, though its surprisingly cool and cloudy outside.
