New banner shop

My brother has started his own etsy shop!! :)
My mum and I convinced him to start one up, its a bit of a collaboration store, as we are doing some of the listings too.
Basically we are making etsy banners and avatars, but trying to keep them unique, by making some by hand rather than using the computer. Anyway, take a peak.

Christmas Decorations

Just made my first Christmas decorations :) Bird cages.
I didn't bother with xmas decorations last year, but I thought I would hop in early this year and give it a go. Hope you like them

On my left hand column, I have added a place where you can plug your own website, blog or shop. All you have to do is put in a 31px by 88px image and your url.

Envelope book

There are so many cool upcycling products being made these days. This one caught my eye a few days ago. A notebook made from old envelopes! and to think I have been throwing envelopes away, deeming them useless.
What makes this even more cool is she (Helen Coldwell) says 'If you buy this book, it will be sent WITHOUT packaging. Your name and address will be handwritten on the cover and posted as it is, continuing it's journey through the postal service.'

finally...

I finally got a round to doing a new drawing. A carousel, I used to have a toy carousel when I was little, and I collected all the horses to put on it. I wonder what happened to it.

Books

Books are beautiful things, I should really try to read more, I have been rather lazy about reading. I love the way they have piled books in the fire place in this photo. It makes me to put piles of book in random places. And look there is a typewriter on the right :) I love my typewriter.

the bubble

for those of you who are artists or designers living in Australia, you might be interested in this,
general pants has launched a new initiative called 'the bubble' where artists and designers can post their work, and anyone can vote for what they like. The entries with the most votes will get to display their work in the general pants stores. So give it a go, because it sounds great! Its so good to see companies supporting new talent.

Hand type

I love hand type, I guess its a rebellion against the computer.
These magazine pagesby Sarah Illenberger, a Berlin based artist for Neon magazine are wonderful. It makes a great layout. She does a lot of really interesting stuff, an artist worth watching.
