Stockings!!

The weather is slowley but surely getting cooler here (down under). And Im getting excited about stockings, which retrospectively is odd, because when I was little I hated stockings and I remember crying once because I didnt want to wear them but mum made me.
Those of you in the northern hemosphere are probably over winter and getting ready for the warmer weather, where as I am all geared up for rugging up, even though we are still getting warm days.

And its all these images of colourful stockings that are making me excited. Arn't they just so fun and stunning?? Maybe it comes from fashion college, as my final collection included bright blue and purple stockings, we have Christian Lacroix to thank for that.

Birdie buttons/badges

Gorgeous new birdie buttons in store now!!!!!

1.25 inch bird cage buttons, these bird cages were drawn on illustrator, they cam out so cute!


And my little birdie buttons have returned with 3 designs now, also all drawn on illustrator.

Goals for the coming year

I know a lot can happen in a year, and life can be unpredictable, so I like to make lose goals. Something to work towards that can change if necessary. Or hopefully I can surpass.
But here are my business goals, my 2 year anniversary will be on the 21/3/09. Notice all the numbers in the date are divisible by 3. So for a bit of play on numbers.
My goal, on the etsy side of my business is to reach 300 sales and 3000 hearts. At least, of course I am more than happy to surpass this goal, and if this go really well or really bad I may have to reassess. But for now that is my goal.

As for my business as a whole, I hope to increase my wholesale and consignment clients. Expand my range and come up with more amazing ideas. It would be great if i could get my website working wonderfully and even be able to sell on my own site but I have no clue about coding, so it may be a while till I can do that.

1 year on etsy!!!!

'tabitha emma' was launched this day 1 year ago. After much research, i finally let go of my fears of the online market place and signed up to etsy.com. Hesitant at first to spend 20cents on a listing (mind you I had never bought anything online before) I began listing my novelty bags and purses. I had always dreamed of owning my own shop and having my own business so this was an easy way to get started and see how the world would respond to my work. I have found so much inspiration and learnt so many things. I really has been a great year!!

New shop in town!

My mum has opened a second shop selling art collages. She is having a lot of fun with this, as a new creative outlet. She has called the shop 'Cafe Baudelaire' with the idea being you would have a coffee while leisurely browsing through her art. Doesn't that sound lovely? So check it out!!!!

Envelope pouch

Brand new design!! Yesterday I made this very cute envelope pouch . Great for carry cards (hehe, lame pun) money, and all your other bits and pieces.
It has a button closure at the back.
I love mail, and i enjoy decorating envelopes, so this appeals to me so much, hope you like it too.
